I have decided to break the new Guiness World Record for my Blog. I am actually going to put in a new entry just TWO DAYS after my previous one. Amazing... Applause please.... Spank u very much... Autographs later... Can't u see I'm busy?

So today is the offical start of the new Semester. It is absolutely astonishing how quickly time passes. I think I've already said this before. But it is true ain't it. All of us Med ppl are now in our 3rd year of the course. The mid way mark. More importantly, and significantly, our curriculum is now based on our experiences in the Clinics/Hospitals and not in the LTs. I am quite excited by the prospect of finally having the opportunity to see wat it is really like out there... Where it really matters.... So will it be more interesting? It better be. At least the seniors seem to think that it is more interesting than lectures and theory for the whole year. The only down side in that we still have to study on top of our long hours in the Hospitals. Well, that is the life of the Medical Student. We signed up for it knowing that it wasn't going to be easy. So I suppose it is only right that we go through it with our heads held high and our spirit resolute. There is no denying that there will be stressful times ahead, but stress is inevitable. We knew that long time ago. It is all about how we choose to take it.... and that could very well be the difference between a fulfilling experience and a 3 year nightmare. We'll just have to see how it goes I suppose. Hopefully I will have the motivation to be consistent and to do more than wat is expected of the average Medical Student. I am sure my Clinical Groupmates, namely, Jon and Kwangz, will be vital in my progress, and hopefully, my influence on them will be a postive one. I hope we will progress as a unit and grow as friends and colleagues. The future beckons. It is time to answer its call...

I just watched Man U getting their asses whooped by a Liverpool team playing like a bunch of woosies... both teams should be in Division 1. The hype surrounding the whole match including the bomb scare turned out to be more interesting than the match itself. And dun u just hate it when a match that already sucks so bad is decided by a friggin penalty? WTF rite... and who was the hero who gave away the penalty needlessly? You guessed it. Mr. Gary Neville.

"Oh shit! Why did I do something so stupid? shit I screwed up? Why was I even born... WHY?" - Gary Neville

Yes Gary... Those two goals you scored are not cos u are good... They were cos u were lucky, and damn lucky at that. WTF is Man U doing anyway? They really have lost the incisive character they used to possess a season or two ago. What has happened? This is a crisis I tell you. Somebody has to do something about this before it gets out of hand... Alex Ferguson has to realise that he is becoming senile... or at least the board has to realise it... Ferguson can go ride his horse... The Rock Of Gibraltar... Wat kind of a name is that anyway...

So moving on, the hols are coming to an end. What a way to slack 3 weeks away... Slacking is a luxury I must say. I love it even though it is boring. I did teach GP in JJC for a week though. Quite an experience. Not a fantastic experience, but an okay experience... GP is not my subject... I seriously am not good at teaching it... But I am good at talking cock, so I guess that got me through... I am definitely not going to teach GP again... So that's about it where that is concerned...

Till next time folks...

I'm back.... after a super long absence from the blogging scene I must say... To all those who managed to find the time during the hectic Examination Study period to drop in entries, I say U DA MAN... I salute u.. Special mention must go to Siki who managed to drop in a blog immediately after the MB paper as we were half way through the 2 days of Examinations. Well done.

So... back to the blogging.. It has been a very very hectic last few weeks... Studying for the CAs then immediately starting on the mugging for the Examinations was the way it had to be for anyone who wanted to survive. So it was. So it had to be. I found out that the human body and brain are capable of studying for 15 hours or even more in just one day. The rest of the day can be rationed to unequal portions of sleep and eating. Try not to forget to bathe. Hehe. Another question propped up in my mind, which was revving at full pace. Is there an upper limit to the amount of information the Brain can hold? Cos it seemed that I was fast approaching that limit... MB is the ultimate mugging subject I have to say. Just mug non stop and cram it all in.. whether it makes sense or not is secondary. The horrible part is when u have signs and syptoms that are present in many different infections but in different combinations. The best part is that half the time they seem so insignificant but u just have to memorise it all in case they ask. "What if they ask this?" rings at the back of every individual's mind during this period. The ringing can be so loud sometimes. But u just have to soak it all in, and move on. After all, that is wat everybody else is doing. And besides, like Siki said, this life beats the Army life anyday. So there's really nothing to complain about.

Then there is Swee Kwang who decided to be mr. smart ass and "strategically" include my name into his long e-mails during the study period. I dunno what the heck he was thinking. I also have no idea how he managed to find the time to write such long e-mails. Dunno wat instigated him to do it. Hey brudder, if u haven't noticed yet, I dun need any advertisement rite... I'm already good enough.... Hahahahahhaa... yeah rite... Anyway, some other bored individuals decided to play along and include me in their e-mails as well... at this point I was like WTF... WTF WTF WTF is going on... but anyway, I couldn't be bothered beyond a certain point... back to the books was the main thought in my head, and so that's wat I did.

So Monday morning arrived. The Pros had arrived. It is amazing how fast time passes. I just could not believe that we had arrived at the 2 year mark of our Medical Education. Simply astounding. The images of my Army life and even my JC times are still so vivid in my memory. Even my trip to India seems so recent. Like I said, time passes us by without us even knowing it. And the pace seems to be increasing exponentially. Weeks of school pass by so quickly. I really have no explaination for the increased pace. Maybe the Earth is revolving more quickly and NASA isn't telling us. Hey you never know. And dun tell me the clocks shouldn't be affected if that is wat is realli happenening. Maybe clocks are dependant on the Earth's revolution too. If u dun understand what I am saying, then u are free to call Eugene Ng to clarify your doubts. He is a genius. He is the closest thing to Stephen Hawkins I have seen in Singapore. I'm not joking.

So MB came and went. Then it was time for NS (Neuroscience). Tuesday came and went just as quickly. And by the time u knew it, it was all over. All those weeks of studying for those two days. Freedom was in the air. Swee Kwang had organised an ice skating outing. So I decided to join in and I do not regret that decision. Ice Skating may seem stupid but I have to say it is alot of fun if u go with the right people. Alex, Ashok, Joon Hwee, Vanessa, Kwang Yeong, Kelvin, Clinton and a few others were there as well. Quite fun. After that, Ashok, Van and I met up with KJ and a couple of Van's frens to go watch Passion of the Christ. Quite a stunning movie I must say. Vivid and dramatic imagery. Very good work. Well done Mel Gibson.

Went to play pool on Wednesday with Jon Ong, Hon Xi and Eugene Huang. Had a good time. Played for about 3 hours. Then went to Marche for dinner. I had no idea Jon could eat so much. He ATE and ATE and ATE. Like 3 full meals in one serving. Amazing. And so much for me tryin to cut the fat. I better start watching wat I eat or I'm gonna become damn big. My genes are just waiting to take over. Haha...

Went to Sentosa on Thurday. Met up with a bunch of Medicine ppl. Quite a few turned up. About 15 or 20 ppl. Had good fun playing frisbee, beach volleyball, soccer and talking cock. Had a really good time. Alex, Van, Siki, Eugene Ng, Sharon Shen and Kwangz were just some of the few hunks and babes there. It was like as if their presence converted Sentosa into Temptation Island. No really, I'm telling the truth. You must believe me.

Friday was a day for slacking. Just lazed around at home. Something I have not done for such a long time. Doing nothing never felt so good. Haha. U tend to value this kind of thing when u've spent the last few weeks studying practically non-stop. I'm sure everyone reading this knows wat I mean.

So anyways, I've done my fair share of blogging for the day. It is about time that I took more time to slack. So seeya later slackers....

Listening to "I believe in a thing called love" by The Darkness.... the irony of it all

"touching you.... touching me...." nice lyrics I suppose...

Went to Tan Chong Hun's 21st birthday party at york hotel yesterday... until yesterday, I had no idea where york hotel was... yes... anyway, I had the luxury of driving there.. picked Jega up on the way from KE7. Had a pretty good time there... Swee Kwang and his "good friend" were there... Sharon, Jingyi were also there... Quite alot of Med ppl actually. Nice place.. Oh yeah, and it was on the 21st storey... 21st birthday... get the idea...

Have to make special mention of the Acapella performance by Chong Hun's group... Magnificent... That is wat u call talent... Like Sharon said, they are probably hot property cos they can sing so well... Well, Sharon, u haven't heard me sing have u... I just dun like to show it off that's all...

Song change "Your Body is a Wonderland" by John Mayer... wonderland indeed...

So many birthday parties this year to celebrate reaching the milestone that reads 21 years. This is where life really begins I suppose. The very thought of the next decade or so is overwhelming. So many things to look forward to, yet to be worried about... Well, we'll just have to take things as they come.. Some will do well and some will do better. Wonder where I'll be. Wonder how many of u will be with me..

I'm going for Sadhana's birthday party later today... another birthday party... looking forward to meet up with me JC class guys... they are truly a wonderful bunch. Will probably meet up with Gabriel Ng a few hours b4 going for the party... he is truly a gem of a guy... He is one fren whose friendship I truly truly value... Was pretty close to him in JC2. Honest, and genuinely nice... nothing beats a character like that. Hope he meets only with success in all his future endeavours... You go Gabriel...

"Look, if you had one shot, one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted…One moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip? "

Peace out...

Saturday morning... Should be sleeping... but nooo... yet another CA. And guess wat... I had barely covered half the topics tested.. well done... but wait, that sounds so familiar.. sometimes u just get used to it.. Like wat Jega said to me the other day in the canteen.. Things have gotten so mundane that now it is no longer a "thrill" to await the end of a CA. Cos u know another one is coming right up... WTF

So anyway... as usual, I woke up at like 6.30am in the morning...  Then had to go to seminar room 2 to isolate myself from the rest of the world (except for Eugene the megacockster and Sharon the sexy babe, whom if not for my presence in that very room, would have engaged in STD transfer procedures to go along with the theme of Valentines' Day). So mug mug mug... last minute mugging is the maddest rush ever... Now nothing can take away the adrenaline rush of last minute cramming... I stress the word CRAMMING... not REVISING.. so I screwed this CA really bad... this time wat I studied din really come out... bye bye to my 5% baby...

Anyway, I had something else to look forward to after the CA... nope, not a sorry ass date with a chick... I'm not a desperate fool...  INTERFAC SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT.  Quite fun to play softball actually... I onli played cos of my prior Cricketing experience... it comes in handy (literally.. hurhur) so anyway, one of my problems was that I kept using my right hand to catch the ball instead of using the stoopid glove... but during the matches I din do anything stupid like that... took quite a few catches in fact...  batting was good too... I'd say I managed to hit quite well for a softball beginner...

Oh yeah... and there was this really SHIOK girl from School of Design and Environment... she played against us obviously.. but she had the most incredible tan... oh man... and she had a body to go with it... oh man... I wasn't the only one drooling... one of our team guys came close to giving her a Close Encounter of the Third Kind during the grope, I mean group photo shoot... no names mentioned here... but nothing intentional or malicious happened... so basically the group photo was a waste of time.. I wanted to ask her to be my Valentine... but a certain part of my anatomy would have shrunk to the size of an amoeba if I had tried... HAHAHA... yeah rite

And we did pretty well... SILVER BABY... silver medal for us... we lost to a good ass pro Engineering team... they are really damn good... but 2nd is pretty good for us anyway... maybe I will go next year to play again... quite fun...

Anyway.. that's all for now... I'm shagged out after the shagedelic day... I just watched Man U kick Man City's ass... and they did it with 10 men for 45 mins.. Man U rocks..
